ARTventurers is a group that hosts a series of colourful, fun art sessions with an emphasis on learning through creative play, exploring different art techniques and materials and developing lots of different skills in a safe, secure and social environment.
Sunderland becoming the UK City of Culture would be amazing for ARTventurers Sunderland West and Washington and our customers as we’re all very proud to live in Sunderland and raise our children here. Sunderland is an extremely friendly place to live, people are polite, respectful, and positive! When raising a family, it’s important to think about the type of people you want them to become as they become older. Being surrounded by such friendly people when we’re out and about as a family and also when my son is at nursery, I’m confident that we’re living in the best place for him!

s born in Sunderland! There are now 20 branches nationwide and there’s even one in Texas, USA! We’re on the grow and our customers come to us term after term because they love how friendly we are and they know we enjoy seeing their children grow and become confident little artists through our classes and guidance. That has so much to do with where the company began!
Culture to me means sharing our experiences with the people we’re surrounded by on a daily basis, be it our creative colourful classes, or the other parents you meet in the park or just out on walks. We’re lucky in Sunderland that we have a beautiful coastal line which we’re so proud of, it’s beautifully maintained and a little bit of paradise just outside a busy city centre!
The Air Show attracts worldwide visitors and there’s tons of other exciting and cultural places to visit where you and your children can learn all about our city’s heritage. I often visit the National Glass Centre and the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, we’re so lucky that there are more and more family friendly places opening up in Sunderland which just means we can enjoy our city even more. ARTventurers are increasingly doing more and more weekend classes and events as our customers tell us they want even more worthwhile activities to do on a weekend as a family! The people of Sunderland want to spend quality time with their families and I love that we can help them do that!
Family and friends are the most important thing to me and I’m once again, so lucky that I live and work in a region where I’m constantly becoming friends with my customers because we all have a common goal, to raise happy children who are proud of where they come from.
